Grilled Jalapeno Poppers

Whether it’s a side dish or an appetizer, these poppers are sure to make your family and friends drool!  (And not necessarily from the spice!  Just remove more or all of the seeds from the peppers to please those with sensitive taste buds.)

Ingredients:

12 fresh jalapenos

1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese

6 slices of bacon, cut in half

 

Directions:

Prepare grill and let the coals get nice and hot.

Cut a slit down the center of each jalapeño pepper.  Using a small spoon, pry the pepper open (being careful not to break the pepper in half) and scoop out the seeds.

Stuff each pepper with 2 tbsp of cheese.  Wrap with a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.

Place on grill and let cook about 3 minutes per side.
