How to Peel a Hard Boiled Egg

Wouldn’t you love to peel a hard-boiled egg perfectly each time?

Ingredients:

6 eggs

2 1/2 cups of cold water  + 4 Tbsp

To cook the eggs:

Place eggs in a large saucepan and add 2 1/2 cups of water.  Turn stove onto high heat and wait until the eggs start to boil.  Once boiling, remove from heat and cover.  Let sit 5 minutes.  Drain.

To peel the eggs:

Place the egg in a small bowl filled with 4 Tbsp of water and roll for 2 seconds.  (This will take the immediate heat off the shell so that you can handle it more easily.)

Gently tap the top and bottom of the egg on the counter to start cracking the egg shell.  Then gently apply pressure to the egg as you roll it on all sides, back and forth under your hand.  Be gentle, you only want to crack the outer layer of the shell.

Place the egg in a jar with a lid and gently shake.

Remove and peel.
